Non Philatelic items with connections to Rhodesia & Nyasaland, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe
The purpose of this section on the website is to provide space for items that may be of interest to members of the Rhodesian Study Circle that are related to our fields of study BUT non philatelic.
- Noel Bretell (1908-1991): Poet ‘who shied away from any sort of limelight’ by Ian Menzies in collaboration with Rob Brettell
- We have obtained copies of the first 60 publications of News from Barotsi-land, a publication by the UK based support group of the Paris Missionary Society in Barotseland. These are gradually been copies and loaded onto the website. They are extremely rare and brittle and have been carefully copied for us.
- Rob Burrett in Bulawayo has very kindly sent us a copies of the Jesuit Zambezi Mission Records from 1898
- At the 2022 RSC Conference, member, Narendhra Morar, was awarded the Nodder / Hamilton Trophy for his presentation: Colour, Class and Caste in Rhodesia: My Family and Other Indians
