Royal Tour

2 July – 16 July 1957

The Royal Tour by the Queen Mother was specifically arranged to open the University of Rhodesia & Nyasaland, at which she was installed as President, and to open the National Gallery of Rhodesia. Both of which events occurred in Salisbury. However while here she visited other centres in Southern Rhodesia as well as Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland.
