Between July-Sept 1940, Southern Rhodesia celebrated 50 years of Occupation with their Golden Jubilee Celebrations.

In 1939 the Jubilee Celebrations Committee was established in Salisbury to manage the celebrations which were to coincide with the official Occupation Day of 12 September 1940.
