Samuel Koefman
In the early 1900’s Samuel Koefman (Kaufman), a Polish immigrant, entered into the tobacco manufacturing business with Rhodesia Manilla Cigars. He set up a shop on the corner of Angwa Street and Manica Road. The building was known as ‘Koefman’s Building.’
He died in Capetown on 29th January, 1933 from heart disease and emphysema.
