Rhodesian Study Circle: Memoir 16 – Postmarks on the 1910 – 1913 ‘Double-head’ issue and their rarity
Rhodesian Study Circle
Postmarks on the 1910–1913 Double-Head Issue
The most recent publication in the Study Circle’s memoir series is by far the most comprehensive and detailed listing of the postmarks cancelling stamps of the ‘Double-heads’ issue, including datestamps, numeral- and letter-coded cancellations, and fiscal usage, almost all of which are illustrated in colour.
The data base used to compile tables of comparative rarity is based on data submitted by more than 50 Study Circle members, and comprises some 120,000 entries. “This new rarity analysis establishes a ‘spectrum’ of rarity from ‘unique’ to ‘very common’. At the rarer end, the number counted in the rarity rating may represent the actual numbers of examples that exist.”
Postmarks on the 1910–1913 ‘Double-head’ issue and their rarity by Sean Burke, Stephen Reah-Johnson and Jenifer Barry, Memoir 16 of the Rhodesian Study Circle; 128 pages with more than 300 illustrations of stamps, covers, post offices, etc,, almost all in colour; photocopied on A4 with card and transparent plastic covers and spiral bound.
