Rules
  1. The exhibit should have a theme related to the Rhodesias or Nyasaland.
  2. Each entry must be the bona fide property of the member written up and prepared by the owner.
  3. The first sheet should be an introduction to the exhibit but may include a card. Overall a small amount of “non postcard material” will be accepted (maximum 20%)
  4. A member may enter up to two entries.
  5. The exhibit shall comprise 16 standard size sheets.
  6. The size of each sheet, including its protective cover, shall not exceed 295mm high x 245mm wide. Larger sheets will be accepted but they must be in multiples of the standard size. The multiples chosen must be compatible with display of a four by four single sheet arrangement.
  7. Each sheet of the entry must be numbered on the back to indicate where the sheet must be positioned for judging and display
  8. Judge(s) will be appointed by the Chairman of the Awards Sub-committee. One or two judges may be appointed.
  9. If the judge(s) is a member of the Rhodesian Study Circle, he/she will be excluded from entering an exhibit but may enter for display only.
  10. The judge(s) shall be requested to provide brief remarks in respect of each entry if possible in writing.
  11. Colour scans or colour photocopies will be accepted on the assurance that no enhancement has been made to the cards. Members wishing to enter this way should mail to the Chairman of the Awards Sub-committee in good time. Entries will only be returned if pre-payment is made.
  12. The marking will be:

    • Presentation and arrangement 10%
    • Originality 5%
    • Write-up 10%
  • Commentary/Research 30%
    • Development of subject 10%
    • Thematic/topographical knowledge 10%
    • Deltiology 10%
  • Breadth of coverage 15%
  • Rarity 10%
  • Condition 10%
  • Appeal of the cards 10%
    • Visual appeal 5%
    • Worth/contribution to display 5%
