A Harrison
A Harrison
Bulawayo
Little is known of A Harrison and he happens to be one of the most elusive of the Rhodesian postcard publishers. Around 1911, Harrison was producing postcards with Preece & Harrison. Post-WWI, Harrison was trading under his own name with postcards being produced by Raphael Tuck & Sons, Ltd. Many of his postcard images can be attributed to those taken by Samuel Clover Turner.
In the mid-late 1920’s, Harrison partnered with Crumplin to Harrison & Crumplin Ltd where they ran news agencies in Bulawayo & Gwelo and by the 1930’s was trading as Harrison’s Stationery Stores.
