Programme

Friday, 7th April

Although we still regard the Friday afternoon as a time to socialise, we’re using our limited time to best effect, so from 2.30pm we have some fine material on display.

Some dealers will have material available. Friday afternoon may be one of the better times to view their stock.

  • 14:00 – Conference Begins
  • 14:30 – Rhodesia Postal Cards 1893 – 1903Patrick Flanagan

  • 16:00 – Postmarks and rarities on the 1905 Falls stamps – Bill O’Connell
  • 17:00 – Rhodesian Study Circle Council Meeting (RSC Members Only)

Saturday, 8th April

Virtually all displays will begin with a PowerPoint projection followed by viewing and a swift change over. Please help by keeping to the times below. In particular, allow the presenters to quickly remove their material, as the next display has to go up promptly.

  • 10:00 – 1d Double Head research (PowerPoint display) – Bob Gibbs
  • 10:30 – Morning Tea
  • 11:00 – Exhibiting postcards – Colin Hoffman
  • 11:45 – Missionary Mail – Sean Burke
  • 12:30 – Lunch/Livermore and Postcard Competition entries.
  • 13:30 – Members’ viewing of Livermore entries and Postcards (maybe Judges’ feedback).
  • 14:00 – A Gold Medal survey of the Double Heads – Arnie Brickman
  • 15:00 – Rhodesia and Nyasaland – Keith Harrop
  • 16:30 – Annual General Meeting (all to attend)
  • 17:30 – RSC Group Photo
  • 17:35 – Conference Auction (please provide material to Huw Williams)
  • 19:00 – RSC Council reception (all welcome)
  • 19:30 – Dinner
Sunday, 9th April

Conference will end at lunchtime today. Settle your bill during the morning and leave your bags by reception. Exit your room by 11.00. Anyone is welcome to have lunch at the hotel (pay by cash).
