ZE1DM (Mashonaland) was part of a Provincial Camp, with the theme of Communications over the weekend of 18th-19th October, 1975 in Ruwa Park. 244 Scouts, Cubs and Leaders attended. With good conditions, the gathering was able to make contact with nations ranging from Australia to UK.
Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) is an international Scouting and Guiding activity held annually; it is on the third full weekend in October. First held in conjunction with the fiftieth anniversary of Scouting in 1957, it was devised by Leslie R. Mitchell. It is now considered the largest event scheduled by the World Organization of the Scout Movement annually.
