Second Central African Trade Fair

3-14 May 1961

The Second Central African Trade Fair was held in 1961 in Bulawayo, Rhodesia & Nyasaland.

During the second fair, U.S. firms were invited to exhibit with the intention of expanding markets in coffee, sugar, yarn, silk, cotton, clothing, paper, fertilisers, oils & lubricants, tires, electrics, iron and steel piping, plate sheets, machinery, cranes, elevators, motor cars, trucks, tractors and locomotives. A U.S. information booth operated at the fair which was an extension of the regular trade promotion activities undertaken by the Foreign Service Post.
