1957 – First Britannia Regular Service

On 1st February, 1957, British Overseas Airways Corporation (B.O.A.C.) inaugurated the first regular Britiannia flights in association with South African Airways (S.A.A.).

The first Britannia G-ANBI left London flying via Rome, Khartoum, Nairobi to Johannesburg and returned to London on 4th February.

The second Britannia G-ANBD left London on the 2nd February flying Rome, Khartoum, Nairobi, Salisbury to Johannesburg and returned to London on 5th February.
