First Regular Mail Service to Hong Kong

On the 14th March, 1936, Imperial Airways inaugurated its mail route from London to Hong Kong. Mail from central Africa joined the flight at Cairo.

Mail arrived at Penang on 23rd March as part of the Imperial Airways London-Australia route and was then flown to Hong Kong on the Dorado.

The flight arrived in Hong Kong on the 24th March, 1936 carrying 16 bags of mail.
